Happy Graduation Chippy!!!

Last night Matt and I got the privelege to attend his youngest brother's high school graduation. Will is the third Abram to graduate from Chaparral High School, which means that there has been an Abram at Chaparral for 12 of the last 15 years (and yes, they are leaving quite a legacy:) I still can't believe that Will is 18 AND done with school. He was 5 years old when Matt and I started dating and he will forever be the little boy who would ask me to hold him and who would take my picture down off of his wall when he would get mad at me. (sorry Will, had to embarass you a little) Will is such a sweet, kind, funny kid who means so much to Matt and I, not to mention that Allie absolutely LOVES her Uncle Chippy. CONGRATULATIONS Will! We are so proud of you and can't wait to continue to watch you play baseball next year in college!

Introducing Sienna Faith...

Sorry folks, all you get is a foot! I had my 30 week ultrasound yesterday and let's just say that our little princess is ALREADY camera shy! She was not very cooperative when it came to taking pictures, hence the foot picture. I was thankful though that the ultrasound tech was able to check all necessary body parts and organs and assure us that our baby girl Sienna is as healthy as can be. Not to mention, BIG! Looks like we will probably have another chunky monkey on our hands. It still amazes me that God is forming this little bitty human being inside of me, the whole process is simply miraculous and unbelievable and I am so thankful that I am able to experience it. Please pray for me in the next several weeks. Next week marks the point in my pregnancy with Allie when all my problems started, so I just pray that history does not repeat itself! But I trust God that he will keep me and my precious Sienna safe and healthy!

Car Wash

The saying, 'the apple does not fall far from the tree' is especially true in the case of my daughter and I. Especially when it comes to cleaning. Now, I do not claim to be a neat freak at all, but I do like things tidy and organized. That certainly has rubbed off on Allie. Everytime she sees a rag or paper towel, she immediately says 'clean!' and wants to help. She'll take the rag and walk all around the house 'cleaning' furniture, floors, the couch, Bailey, etc. :) So the other day Matt and I brought Allie outside with us to wash my car. She had so much fun! Although she was not very happy when I accidentally sprayed her with water from the hose, she was a great helper, not to mention an adorable helper with her new sunglasses on that she LOVES!

(Now it would be really nice if we had some friends who OWNED a car wash so that we don't have to do it ourselves anymore....hint, hint:)

Wedding Weekend in Austin

Matt had the honor and privilege of serving as the Best Man at his best friend's wedding this past weekend (Ryan and Matt have been friends since 7th grade!). The wedding was in Austin so he and I got a chance for a mini get-away just the two of us (Allie was COMPLETELY spoiled at her Gammy and Tompa's house) Although we missed Allie terribly we had such a wonderful weekend. The rehearsal dinner was at a well known restaurant that was unlike anything Matt and I had ever seen. It was on a gorgeous lake called Lake Travis, was 5 stories tall and seated over 1,000 people. Every single table in the restaurant had a view of the lake. We had a private room, ate wonderful Mexican food, then we all went onto the balcony and watched the sun set over the lake. It was amazing. The wedding on Saturday was in a beautiful church with an incredible wooden ceiling, then the reception was at the Omni hotel in downtown Austin. Brandie and Ryan did such a good job with all the wedding plans, everything turned out great, and we were honored to be able to celebrate with them!

Pet Owls

I found this really cute tutorial online for how to make these adorable owls. I had a lot of leftover fabric from Allie's pillows and figured an owl would go perfect in her new shabby chic cottage. The first one I made turned out so cute that I just had to make a baby one to go with it. Allie loves them and calls them 'mama owl' and 'baby owl' :)
