Fun in the Tupperware Cupboard

We are certainly so blessed with cupboard space in our kitchen that we can devote a whole huge cupboard to tupperware alone. Now that may not really seem like a big deal, but when you have a toddler, trust me it is!!! Our tupperware cupboard was probably one of Allie's favorite places to play when she was younger. It seriously kept her busy for so long and definitely helped me when it came to making dinner. A few weeks ago we introduced Sienna to this little piece of heaven and let me tell you, she LOVED it!

Look Alikes

Girls, girls, girls. That is what my life has been the past three years, and what my life is probably going to continue to be for the rest of my life! I LOVE having two girls. All my life all I wanted to be was a wife and a mommy. I (to my husband's dismay!) did not and do not have huge career aspirations. I didn't dream of working my way up the corporate ladder. I dreamt of staying home and taking care of my husband and my children. My dream has come true and the fact that I have not one, but TWO girls is just icing on the cake!
For those of you who know Matt and I, we do look pretty similar (and yes, we have been mistaken for brother and sister before. yuck!) But I still always wondered what our kids would look like. Surprise, surprise Allie and Sienna are the perfect combination of the two of us, and of course that means that they too look very similar. Sometimes I look at pictures and the only way that I can tell who is who is from the hair (Allie had MUCH longer hair than Sienna) and then some pictures I think they look so different. Luckily they both got their daddy's gorgeous blue eyes, and I think they have the same nose and same lips but I think their face or head shape is different. What do you think? Preschool!

I can't believe I haven't written a post about Allie's first day of preschool yet. Busyness has seemed to completely take over the past few weeks. But since this is my pseudo-baby book, I definitely have to document the event. :)
Allie was soooooo excited to start preschool and soooooo ready. We let her pick out a backpack, and then of course I had to get her the matching lunch bag, water bottle, bento box, fork and spoon and ice packs. Yes, I am that mom. We talked about school and the kinds of things she would be doing. She asked every single day in the weeks leading up to the first day when she would get to go to 'school' :)
About a week before the first day, they had a meet the teacher/classroom day. Allie got to go into her actual classroom, check things out, play a little and meet some other kids and the teachers. She has two amazing teachers and Allie loved them from the start.
On the first day (after I took a gagillion pictures of course), Matt and I brought her to school. We had to wait outside the classroom until the teachers open the doors and let the students in. Allie's door opened, she looked at us, we told her she could go in and then she literally pushed her way through a crowd of parents and kids to get into her classroom. No hugs, no goodbyes, no looks back :( It broke my heart but I certainly think it's better than the opposite.
So now we start our 'new normal'. A normal of first days and last days, Christmas breaks and spring breaks, open houses, picture days and field trips. And I could not be happier and more proud of my big girl :)

Labor Day Weekend

We had the best Labor Day weekend up in Prescott at my parent's house. It felt like a mini vacaction for just the 4 of us, we had so much fun the whole time.

Snip Snip...

Allie got her second haircut this past week. Don't worry, I did not chop off her gorgeous long locks, but it was definitely time for a little trim. We cut her hair for the first time right around her 1st birthday to even out the craziness that her hair was. For those of you who remember what happened at THAT haircut, don't worry the same did not happen for her second haircut. She absolutely loved it this time and thought it was so much fun. I was really afraid that cutting her hair (even just the little bit that we did) would cut off the big curls that happen at the very bottom but luckily it didn't and it turned out beautiful. Nice and even and a little bit layered - such a big girl!
